Lyndsi Harris – When the Weather is Fine

“When the Weather is Fine” is a reflection on the gifts summer brings. Whether migratory birds, fleeting flower blossoms, sunny green meadows, or the joy of sitting outdoors surrounded by enormous trees, summer brings with it freedom and peace in the experience of nature. May these pieces show you summer through my eyes and connect you to nature in a new way.

Description of work:

Each piece is carefully embroidered onto birch tree bark. using only sustainably harvested materials: birch tree bark is removed from downed trees or those which have been cut for firewood, and salmon leather is made from food waste obtained from the local restaurant industry. While all final pieces contain embroidery, some also include watercolor paint, Miyuki glass beads, and salmon leather.
