Alaska resident, Vladimir Zhikhartsev has lived in Fairbanks for 25 years. He came from Russia as an ice sculpture instructor in 1996.
Vladimir received his Fine Art education in Russia with formal training in sculpture, watercolor, oil, acrylic painting and has been teaching art in Alaska for about 20 years – mostly in his home studio in Fairbanks, sometimes in UAF as an Adjunct lecturer (2012 Spring semester ) and also conducting Workshops and classes for Fairbanks Summer Art Festival outreach around the State of Alaska in Sitka, Ketchikan, Delta, Seward, Hope and Anchorage and for Machetanz Art Festival in Palmer, also privately in Juneau and Prince William Sound.
Award-winning Artist, recipient of the Rasmuson Foundation Fellowship Award, he has many Solo Exhibitions in Fairbanks and around the State of Alaska.
