Fossil Fancies- Hilda Melchior

Finding fun in objects is a theme I have been incorporating in my recent work. This show is using fossils to play with. Besides their scientific origin, they present the most wonderful shapes and in some cases, colors. As an artist, this is what intrigues me the most. I have tried to find the character of each shape, not necessarily the original creature. I had fun creating these
mini sculptures and wearable pieces.
