Local Girl – Natalie Schuldt
I used to wander the Interior Alaska wilderness around my childhood home for hours a day. The softness of the forest floor, the silence punctuated by the creak of a tree in the wind- I hold these memories so tightly that I can close my eyes and experience them as if I were there. My playtime was mostly observation of the forest, untainted by outside information about what I was seeing. These are the subjects I return to time and time again in my art.
